Code of Conduct

Community Rules

ETHPH is a community of builders, learners, and contributors exploring Ethereum and open technologies. We believe in open collaboration, respectful dialogue, and a shared commitment to building systems that are decentralized, permissionless, and accessible to everyone.

To keep our spaces healthy, respectful, and productive, all participants are expected to follow these guidelines.

This Code of Conduct applies to all ETHPH spaces, including events, workshops, online communities, and any environment where individuals represent or participate in ETHPH activities.

It applies to participants, organizers, speakers, partners, and attendees.

Respect and Professionalism

Treat others with respect and professionalism at all times.

This includes:

  • No bullying, insults, or personal attacks

  • Respect for different opinions, backgrounds, and experiences

  • Giving proper credit to the work and contributions of others

Healthy disagreement is welcome, but hostility and disrespect are not.

Constructive Participation

ETHPH exists to encourage learning, collaboration, and the growth of the Ethereum ecosystem.

Participants are encouraged to:

  • Ask questions and share knowledge

  • Offer feedback respectfully

  • Support others in building and learning

Criticism should be constructive and focused on ideas, not individuals.

Zero Tolerance for Harassment

Harassment or discrimination has no place in ETHPH spaces.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or hate speech

  • Unwanted advances or inappropriate comments

  • Intimidation, bullying, or repeated hostile behavior

  • Spreading harmful rumors, coordinated gossip, or attempts to damage someone's reputation within the community

  • Attempts to undermine someone's work, partnerships, or participation through bad-faith actions or misrepresentation

Some harmful behavior may occur indirectly or outside of direct interactions. ETHPH organizers may take reports of such behavior seriously even if the affected person was not present when it occurred.

If someone asks you to stop a behavior, you are expected to respect that request. However, participants are expected to exercise good judgment and professionalism even without being asked.

Respect for Ideas and Contribution

ETHPH is a space for collaboration and open exchange. At the same time, participants are expected to respect the intellectual contributions of others.

Participants should not:

  • Present someone else's ideas, work, or research as their own

  • Take community discussions or collaborative concepts and rebrand them without proper attribution

  • Use ETHPH spaces to extract ideas or opportunities without acknowledging the people involved

Healthy collaboration includes transparency, proper credit, and respect for the builders contributing to the ecosystem.

Representation of ETHPH

ETHPH is an open community, but present and past participation does not automatically grant authority to represent the organization.

Participants should not:

  • Claim to represent ETHPH without explicit authorization

  • Use ETHPH’s name to solicit funds, investments, or services

  • Present themselves as official members, organizers, or partners without confirmation from the ETHPH team

Misrepresenting affiliation with ETHPH may result in removal from community spaces and public clarification from the organization.

Diversity and Harmony

ETHPH welcomes builders, researchers, and enthusiasts from across the Ethereum ecosystem.

We aim to remain credibly neutral while embracing diversity of perspectives. Participants should respect that people may come from different projects, communities, and viewpoints.

Healthy debate is encouraged, but attempts to dominate, exclude, or disrupt discussions are not.

Stay on Purpose

ETHPH spaces and events are intended for learning, discussion, and building within the Ethereum and open technology ecosystem.

Please avoid:

  • Spam or scams

  • Irrelevant promotions

  • Behavior that disrupts events or discussions

Good Faith Participation

ETHPH exists to support genuine learning, collaboration, and ecosystem growth.

Participants are expected to engage in good faith and contribute positively to the community. Activities primarily motivated by personal promotion, reputation laundering, or extracting influence without meaningful contribution are discouraged.

Participation in ETHPH spaces should reflect a genuine interest in learning, building, and supporting the broader Ethereum ecosystem.

Reporting Concerns

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to an ETHPH organizer or contact us at ethph.org@gmail.com.

Reports will be handled with care and discretion. ETHPH will make reasonable efforts to review concerns fairly and maintain confidentiality where possible.

Enforcement and Consequences

ETHPH organizers reserve the right to take action if this Code of Conduct is violated.

Depending on the situation, this may include:

  • A private warning

  • Removal from an event or community space

  • Temporary or permanent bans from ETHPH spaces

  • Public clarification if ETHPH is being misrepresented

These actions are taken to protect the safety, integrity, and trust within the community.

Maintaining a healthy community is a shared responsibility. Together, we can create an environment where people feel welcome to learn, build, and contribute.
