We are doubling down our mission to expand blockchain education and onboard Filipino builders, from ETH63, now rebranded as ETHPH.
Today, the community formerly known as ETH63 officially embraced a new name: Ethereum Philippines (ETHPH). The change reflects a natural evolution of the movement we have been building together over the past years—one that began as a small group of Ethereum enthusiasts and has grown into a nationwide network of developers, researchers, and builders.
While ETH63 helped anchor the early stages of the community, the ecosystem has since expanded far beyond its original scope. Workshops, meetups, university tours, and collaborations with global Ethereum projects have brought new builders into the space from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The rebrand acknowledges that the community has outgrown its original label and now represents a broader collective of Filipino contributors to the Ethereum ecosystem.
The Philippines is an archipelago of more than 7,000 islands, and the Ethereum community here reflects that diversity. From Manila to Cebu, from Davao to Baguio and beyond, developers and creators are exploring how Ethereum can power new forms of finance, coordination, and digital ownership.
By adopting the name ETHPH, we aim to build a more inclusive and representative identity—one that welcomes contributors from every region and every background. The goal is not just to grow the number of participants, but to strengthen the quality of builders emerging from the Philippines.
ETHPH will continue focusing on developer education, open-source collaboration, and grassroots community initiatives. Through workshops, hackathons, research discussions, and partnerships with global Ethereum projects, we hope to create an environment where Filipino builders can experiment, learn, and contribute to the future of the decentralized web.
This rebrand is not a reset. It is a continuation of the same mission, with a clearer identity for the road ahead.
